November Update From Circuit Riders

Circuit Riders

Discipleship Training School

It has officially been one month since I began my DTS (Discipleship Training School) with CR (Circuit Riders)! This past month has been absolutely insane in every way. I’ve met some of the most loving and fiery people, and God has been meeting me in crazy ways.

This DTS has been very similar to the DTS I did last year with Fire and Fragrance, but there have also been some big differences. Last year, I fully surrendered my life to the Lord and was laying my foundation of my life down with God. It was an incredible time full of encounters with God almost daily. However, in this DTS God has taught me very practical ways to live my life. I am not having these insane encounters with God as often, but He has been so kind in showing me more of who He is in a practical way. My alone time with the Lord has been so sweet, and He continues to pour out His glory over me and my entire school.

Gospel Week

Some similarities between the schools would be the schedule/weeks. Every week is a new theme or topic that is provided by a new speaker. So far, we have had our CR intro week given by Zach Nash and Nick Brennt. Week 2 was freedom week with Matt and Laura Nelson. Week 3 was voices week by Yazmene. And this past week, week four, was gospel week by Peter Louis! Gospel week was my absolute favorite week because I got a whole new grasp of the gospel. I not only learned it in a new way, but actually got to experience it in a whole new way as well. I got a deeper understanding of why Jesus did what He did and learned so many biblical connections between other books and the gospels. It was just SO GOOD!

On the other hand, the differences between the schools would definitely have to be in the structure. Unlike YWAM Kona, Circuit Riders doesn’t have a base. This means that all the students live in rented homes all around Huntington Beach and Westminster. We also use a church called the Crossing Church for classes and all our events. Since all the students live so far away from one another, it means we all have to be much more intentional with each other and really work to hang out and know one another. It has been difficult at times, but so rewarding with the friendships I’ve made. Living in downtown Huntington Beach has been so fun, and I was so blessed to get a home close to the water and the most amazing house mates ever.

A week here in Huntington Beach is pretty busy. Every day we have class from 10:00 to 1:00 PM. On Tuesdays and Fridays we also will have tracks and movements from 2:30 to 5:00 PM. Tracks are media, messengers, or music. Here we learn more and practice our skill sets (I’m in messengers). Movements are the different tours such as ‘Carry The Love’ that reach universities, Brave Love that reaches women, or Black Voices who focus on minorities in missions.

Greenhouse Prayer Room

We also have Greenhouse Prayer Room every Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 AM and Thursday night from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Monday nights are one of my favorite nights of the week because we host an event called Monday Nights! This is basically a huge church service that all of CR goes to, as well as a ton of people from the community. The worship is amazing as well as the message which is given by leadership here at CR. We also do outreach every Wednesday right after class where every student is put into a team and we all travel to different universities here in Southern California. I was assigned to UCLA! I have so much fun on these outreaches and really enjoy getting to evangelize on campuses.

Outreach

I have filled out and selected the tours and locations that I would prefer and we should find out here shortly where each of us will be sent on outreach! I can’t wait to share with y’all where the Lord will send me this winter!

I would like to thank all of you so much for helping me along this journey and reaching out and praying for me! I could never do what I do if I didn’t have every one of you partnering alongside me. If you have any further questions about ministry here, what the school looks like, or any other part of life here in HB, feel free to reach out and ask!

As well as partnering with me through prayer, I am so blessed by all of you who have partnered with me financially. It has allowed me to bless the ones in my house who own cars with gas, has helped me buy groceries, and has allowed me to have a flight home for Christmas!

Huntington Beach is a very expensive place to live (just as most places are nowadays) and so I am still in need of support with finances. Money that is being generously donated to me is being strictly used for gas, groceries, and my outreach fund. For outreach, I will need to buy my plane tickets, as well as all of my food while on tour. Since we will drive the entire tour, all the money that I will pay to the school for outreach will be for gas, housing, and car insurance.

If you would like to partner with me financially, you can here…
